What Is Zine Folk NC?
Zine Folk NC is a day-long celebration of zines, small press comics & print media coming to Raleigh, North Carolina. Zine Folk NC came about in order to meet the needs of North Carolina’s growing zine maker and independent comics community. We love what we do, and we want to expand our reach by educating the city of Raleigh on the collective power of independent voices, physical media, and building true community. One of the best and easiest ways to foster this is by sharing the art of making and trading zines.
Where/When Is Zine Folk NC?
Zine Folk NC will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 11AM—5PM. Zine Folk NC will be held at Artspace, which is located at 201 E Davie St in Raleigh, NC. Parking information can be found here.
Is Zine Folk NC a paid event?
Zine Folk NC is absolutely free to attend! We do encourage visitors to bring money to purchase from our exhibitors, as well as bring your own zines to trade.
What can I expect to find at Zine Folk NC?
We have two floors of exhibitor tables featuring NC-based zine makers and independent comic artists, a classroom with workshops on how to make and trade your own zines (full schedule coming soon), snacks and drinks available courtesy of Artspace concessions, and a live zine-reading hour.
CAN I APPLY TO BE AN EXHIBITOR?
We have limited spots available for zine makers interested in applying to be a featured exhibitor! Link to the application form is here. Applications close June 15th.
What Is The Student Showcase Table?
Zine Folk NC is excited to showcase work made by students with a burgeoning interest in making comics and zines from our local sequential arts programs and the Artspace summer arts camp program.
IS THERE A masking policy AT ZINE FOLK NC?
Masks are encouraged for all volunteers, exhibitors, and attendees of Zine Folk NC and Artspace. We will have masks provided in case you do not bring one, and request that masks remain on while visiting our exhibitor tables and participating in workshops.
